If you haven’t looked at my cam pic then please go there now. That hanging basket it is on the front porch of our house. Doves are fascinating to me. She seems to know that we will not hurt her. As we walk in and out of the house she watches us for sudden movements, but otherwise seems content just sitting in her nest on her eggs. The other day we saw her and her birdie husband do a shift change presumably so that she could go and eat. She flew off letting out a couple loud chirps and he flew in and sat on the nest.

She really couldn’t have picked a better spot for her nest. None of the other birds will get near our porch because of us. She is also protected from the sun, rain and wind. Every now and again if we make sudden movements she will fly away from the nest, but usually goes no further than the roof of the porch. Typically her husband is never much further away than the roof of the house.

I read somewhere once that Doves mate for life. A couple years ago a Dove got hit by a car in our front street. The Dove’s mate was sitting in the street next to its body and almost sounded like it was crying. Every time a car came by it would walk over to the curb and after it passed it would walk back out and sit next to the body. It was one of the saddest things I have ever seen in my life. Next time your are driving down the street and a see a bird, if safety permits, please brake. Thank you.

I just took an online IQ test. Last time I took an IQ test was in 1996 and I scored a 130. This time I scored a 127. According to the site where I took it, 80% of people fall in the range from 80 to 120. So I guess that means I am smart, huh? Cool. The test is free if you are interested in taking it. You can reach it at EMode. They ask you for an e-mail address when you are finished so I gave them an address I never use. They also give you an intellegence type based on what answers you do the best at. I can’t remeber exactly what they called my intelligence type but it said that I do best at mathematical and visual problems.

The semester is finally finished. Now I am on summer break until 7/14 when I go back for my 1 month mini-mester that I have been complaining about in my previous blogs. Now it is time to get back to the stuff I love. Websites….uh…wait…that is what I do in school. OK make that websites that are near and dear to my heart such as K80K and SDO.

In other news my mother got 2 tattoos. Wooo, calm down. This is my Mom’s rendition of a tattoo, so there isn’t really much to it. She actually wanted to look like she had moles or freckles in the shape of Mickey’s head. Yeah, exactly what I was thinking Tyrant, “what’s the point?” They are still a little bloody, but you can get the gyst from these pictures:

It’s Friday and tomorrow I have a final. So after working a little from home this morning I have done nothing but study. In my opinion that makes for a boring blog. THE END
