Just got a message from the school’s registration office about my class this summer. “Its Monday and Thursday, not through Thursday. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.” OH HAPPY DAY!

Exam Time

Thursday, April 24th, 2003

So it is take your child to work day, so our building is now crawling with little people. They used to make a really big deal out of it, having each organization make a presentation to the kids showin them what we do here, but like most things that is no longer in the budget.

I decided to take off tomorrow so that I can get some more studying in for my final that I have on Saturday morning. We are supposed to go to the Ottobar tomorrow night to see Meatjack perform, but I am hoping it isn’t too late. I don’t do good on exams when I am tired.

Note to self: Write a blog for SDO about perfume.

Freaky

So I am trying to sneak some studying in while I am work. I am reading along, “Relational Model Concept: The model was first proposed by Dr. E.F. Codd of IBM in 1970 in the following paper…” when one of my MSNBC News Alert dings. I click on it and this pops up:

A little creepy don’t you think?

Justice for the Unborn

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2003

I had come up with a good blog idea this morning, but somewhere between home and work I managed to forget what it was that I wanted to talk about. My co-worker however told me an interesting story that I have to share.

I tried finding an article to back this story up, but I couldn’t find one. Apparently the NOW feels that Peterson should not be charged with double-homicide in the death of his wife and son. The only feel that he should be charged with the murder of his wife. From what my co-worker was saying it has something to do with abortion. There is no disputing that Laci wanted that child and there is no doubt that the baby would have survived outside his mother’s womb since he was almost carried to term. So I can’t figure out what their line of thinking is on this one. I was hoping to find an article that would at least give me an explanation to that, but I can’t. If anyone can find one please post a link.

Happy Birthday Dad

Monday, April 21st, 2003

So Dad turned the big 53 this weekend. When I woke up for school on Saturday he didn’t get up with me like he usually does, so I didn’t get to wish him a happy birthday. When I got home he had already left for the gym but Mom said he thought everyone had forgotten his birthday. Mom had bought him shoes like a week ago for his birthday so she kept sticking them in different bags and giving them to him over and over again. When I got home I put this presents from me and Mom in gift bags. When Dad got home she had taken my presents, hid them in the closet, and put the shoes on the table again. When he went to open them he started laughing in a not so amused sort of way. So I ran to the closet to get his presents for him before he became unhappy. He loved his MP3 player and I think he is going to like his head phones. After I finished my homework last night I moved songs from all 4 CDs that he owns onto the MP3 player. Well actually he owns 6 CDs but he opted to not to put any of the BeeGees on his MP3 player.

Dad recently started training for the Disney Marathon which he will be participating in this summer. He wanted the MP3 player for when he runs, so I got him the same one that I have. What I can’t figure out is how you can keep yourself jogging at a good pace when you are listening to Sinatra, Barry White, Josh Groban and Louis Armstrong.
