Emma Clueless

Wednesday, May 12th, 2004

I was flipping through the channels yesterday and stopped to watch “Emma” starring Gwenyth Paltrow. I have seen it on a lot lately and thought, “what the heck?” So I am sitting there watching the movie and it dawns on me that I am watching “Clueless”. Apparently the basic plot of Clueless is based on Jane Austin’s (hehe, oops, thanks M) book “Emma” all the way down the character named “Elton”. Not sure if discovering this little tid-bit is something to be proud of or not. Chances are if I have to wonder that then the answer is “No”.

Static Cam Part II

Sorry for the static cam again today. The computer continues to make a bizarre noise, which I think may be the fan. It is getting to be time to call in the expert. JOEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sailing Away – 2nd Annual Drainage Ditch Regatta

Friday, May 7th, 2004

Today was the second annual Lhotsky Classic Drainage Ditch Regatta at work. It was fun as always to watch everyone sail. I didn’t do a boat myself this year. I probably could have sailed the one from last year, which I still have displayed in my cube. One of my teammates won a trophy for most creative design. In the end the same person that won last year won again this year, with her boat Sponge Bob II.

If you don’t know what the drainage ditch regatta is you can check out my entry from last year.

Static Cam and Final Friends

Thursday, May 6th, 2004

My fan in my computer was making a slightly funny noise this morning, so I decided to shut it down for the day. Consequentially my cam will be static for the day, but I personally am finding the shot of what I look like at 5:30 in the morning rather humorous.

So tonight is the final episode of Friends. If Ross and Rachel don’t end up together I may just have to jump off my roof. I am looking forward to the final Friends episode just as much as the next guy, probably more, but some things are getting a little out of hand. According to this article at FoxNews.com, TVLand will be taking off their regular programming during the show and only showing a shot of 6 people watching TV with one turning to the camera every now and then to say, “We are watching the final episode of Friends and so should you.” Yeah…that’s just a tad much.
