The 8 Days of Thankgiving – Day 4 and 5
Time to look back at the weekend and think of things I was thankful for each day since I didn’t blog this weekend.
Day 4 – I was thankful for my dog walkers on Saturday. I went to tour a place where I was considering leaving Tillie while I was in Florida. I couldn’t figure out how I was going to fit my sofa in the cage they were going to leave Tillie in. I decided on the spot that she is staying home and I will have the dog walkers watch her.
Day 5 – I was thankful that I didn’t hurt myself more seriously when I fell. Yes, I fell again while running. I was at mile 15.5 of my 17 miles. I ended up stopping at mile 16 after I fell. I am a little bruised and my upper body is a little sore, but otherwise no skin was broken and my new $75 moisture wicking tights had no wears and tears. I did sort of belly flop on my sunglasses, but even they came out ok. The frames are a bit scratched up, but the lenses have no signs that they came into contact with concrete whatsoever.
Since it is still early in Day 6 I will have to let you know what I am thankful for later. It has not been a good start to my morning, but I know there is a shining light out there somewhere in the fog. Just gotta keep my eyes open. 🙂

Glad you’re okay. Sounds like a scary fall.

It wasn’t nearly as scarey as the first time I fell while running. I am just glad it happened later rather than earlier. If it had happened earlier I might not have made it as far as I did and I may have been injured worse because I would have had more strength to stiffen up and try to catch myself.
