A New Adventure?…Maybe.
When I first lost all of my weight one of the staples of my diet was a weekly trip to a local deli for a shrimp salad sandwich on whole wheat with lettuce and tomato. Today I found myself craving one, so when lunchtime came I headed up the street. I realized quickly that it has been a really long time since I have made this trip. I am guessing probably over a year. As I turned the corner next to the deli I found myself staring at a new neighbor for the deli. Well, actually it isn’t a new neighbor because apparently they have been there for 9 months and I just didn’t know it.Â
A yoga studio has moved in next door to my deli. I quickly memorized the web address and then headed into the deli to get my sandwich and Sun Chips (now made using solar energy). When I got back to my desk I immedeatly brought up the website to discover they are having a beginner’s yoga series starting this week for 5 weeks that teaches you all the basic postures. Just last week I started working to reincorporate yoga back into my routine, so I find it highly coincidental. I am seriously thinking of joining up for the 5 week course and getting someone else looking at my yoga posture to make sure I am doing things right. I’ve got 2 days to decide whether to get my yogi on or not.Â

I say yogi yes! What have you got to lose?
Ooooh, shrimp salad sandwich. Yummm. When I worked in the city, we used to go to Lexington Market once a week for Mary Mervis shrimp salad sandwiches and some other place for fried chicken livers and french fries. Quite a feast. That’s all healthy, right? Thanks for the memories!

I just signed my brother and myself up for the classes. I am sure I will have a full review after each class. 🙂

NOOOOoooo! It’s a trick! They set up that studio just to ensnare you! They will close up shop and move right after the check clears! Beware, beware! (Oh, and if that does not happen, then enjoy the class…)

Good for you! I started a beginning yoga class last October. Although I’m STILL a beginner, it certainly helps me loosen up.

That sounds awesome! Let us know how you like it!
You didn’t sound preachy! I am using all of my flex points but other then that just following the core plan pretty strictly. You are right though that the way I am eating right now is not something I can stick to long term. I think I need to switch over to the points and incorporate a larger variety of “regular” food. The reason I like Core is because I can eat however much I want when I need to..nothing to count. Anyway, you can give me advice anytime!
