So the announcement has been made that our economic stimulus packages will be arriving early. Yay money! I of course have already started spending it. :) How can I not? And of course I am spending it on running related stuff.
My first purchase was a running skirt from runningskirts.com. I have on a previous occassion purchased a running skirt but unfortunately I have a little too much in the booty to wear it. Just try to picture the skirt fitting nicely in the front then being 2 inches shorter in the back with the compression shorts exposed. Yeah…not too cute huh? I decided to make another shirt purchase and try again. The new one hasn’t arrived yet, but I am sure as soon as it does and I get to try it on and hopefully run in it I will post a review.Â
My second purchase as a new pair of walking shoes. I walk at least 2 miles a day (when I am being good) with the monster in tow and have noticed recently that if my ankle is already a little iffy then walking the dog makes it hurt. I have had my current walking shoes since October, so I am sure they are shot. I hit holabirdsports.com and ordered up some new shoes and some new socks.
My third and thus far final purchase were some new hats from headsweats.com. I already have one of their hats which I recieved for joining the Her Sports running team. I wear it ALL the time. It has been through the washing machine probably a dozen times and you can’t tell whatsoever. With the warm months coming I decided it was time to get some more of them so I can rotate them while the others are in the was. I got a white one and a pale blue one to match my skirt-for-which-I-have-too-much-booty above. I figure when I have lost enough weight to wear the skirt I want to look really cute with a matching hat. 😀
I think whatever is left over will be put into my savings account and held there for Disneyland. I am going there for a race so that makes the entire trip run related right?
I got out yesterday for a 5 mile run. It was really slow. I mean realllly slow. It didn’t help that there were so many other runners out last night showing me exaclty how slow I was. I think it was because of some bad eating the night before. I have a love/hate relationship with the fact that my running reminds me that I need to eat well. Makes me want to eat well and makes me really regret eating bad.Â
