Technical Interview

Just 3 more days until vacation. In that 3 days I need to train my back-up, which should be fun, not. There isn’t anything I do that doesn’t have very specific instructions in a binder on my desk. I actually have written them down to the nitty-gritty detail, of “Click OK with your mouse”. If someone is not able to run one of these suckers I can’t be held responcible.

I had a technical interview the other day but I think I royally screwed it up. My brain locked up and I was not able to successfully describe my thought process between implementing something as an abstract class or an interface. After hitting the books to refresh my brain I e-mailed the interviewer the next day with my proper explanation, but it is probably too late to clean up the mess that I made. It is really hard to find a company that doesn’t mind bringing someone on with no practical experience (all my Java is school related) and that doesn’t have an active security clearance, so I am pretty bummed. Oh well, live and learn.
